In view of the RF offshore oil and gas development plans, there is a need for analysis and improvement of methods and techniques of environmental impact assessment. The paper describes some approaches to system analysis of environmental effects caused by oil transportation from offshore fields. The proposed analysis scheme may be considered as being optimal,
as it is a compromise between requirements of the current environmental regulations and the actual modern conditions.
