The author describes on a gyroscopic orientation device designed by CJSC \u201cNT-KURS\u201d for whipstock orientation while drilling directional wells. The device is also able to measure the whipstock orientation angle. The device is vibration resistant as uses a miniaturized\u00a0 iMEMS-sensor. The paper provides an analysis of the principles of operation of the gyroscopic whipstock orientation device and its performance.<\/p>\n
