\u041e<\/span>One of the problems arising out of balanced drilling is pressure maintenance during pulling and running operations and whilst adding a drill pipe length. As hydrostatic pressure of the mud column is not sufficient to maintain an overbalance pressure on the formation, it is required to pump portions of heavy mud or add a safety valve to the previous casing and perform pulling and running operations with a closed rotating diverter until the bit is lifted above the valve. Under the circumstances, the problem may be solved by installing a continuous circulation system at the wellhead to maintain pressure during pulling and running operations.<\/p>\n
