The paper analyzes the experience in planning and results of offshore exploration in Barents Sea and KaraSea between 1982 and 2006. Consideration is given to exploration limitations imposed by the environment and climate in the Barents Sea and KaraSea region.\nThe paper presents recommendations for drilling campaign planning in these offshore areas.<\/p>\n
