The gas potential of the Arctic shelf (gas condensate fields) of the Kara and Barents Seas is the main strategic reserve for gas\u00a0production in Russia in the current century. The key to long-term strategic planning is the assessment of the industrial significance\u00a0<\/span>of unique and large offshore oil and gas fields, preparing them for commissioning and assessing technological capabilities\u00a0<\/span>and needs for development.\u00a0<\/span>The article discusses the analysis of the hydrocarbon potential, including the phase composition of the land and shelf of the\u00a0<\/span>Arctic, evaluates its previous study and certainty. <\/span>One of the considered solutions for assessing the development possibilities is the use of the cluster approach, which, when\u00a0implemented, will allow, in a short time (three years), to solve the most important task — to provide an industrial assessment of the\u00a0<\/span>gas reserves of the largest asset — the Leningradskoe unique gas condensate field on the Priyamal Arctic shelf and prepare design\u00a0<\/span>solutions for it, additional exploration, development and operation using domestic equipment for deep-water offshore facilities\u00a0<\/span>and gas production. The solution to this problem must be implemented within the framework of the State Program for the study\u00a0<\/span>and development of the Russian Arctic.\u00a0<\/span>The conclusion is made about the importance of the experience in the development of Arctic transboundary and offshore\u00a0<\/span>fields, remote at insignificant distances from the coast, for further large-scale expansion into deepwater areas under appropriate\u00a0<\/span>economic conditions and providing the necessary specialized technical means.<\/span><\/p>\n
