The current technology of directional and horizontal well drilling makes integrated use of benefits provided by different well-path control techniques. The article focuses on the combination drilling method where well path is controlled through interchanging sliding and rotation modes in appropriate wellbore intervals. The\u00a0 author analyzes the behavior of BHA that includes a drill bit and a deflecting downhole drilling motor bearing centralizers. \u00a0It is shown that the diameter and position of the centralizers determine performance of the deflecting BHA \u00a0while rotating the drill string.<\/p>\n
