The article provides design details of a forging press for manufacturing of long-length thin-walled screw-type steel lining of rotors of screw downhole motors. It is shown that the accuracy of rotor tooth profile has a significant effect on output performance of screw downhole motors. Factors are described that influence the accuracy of tooth profile, \u00a0the details of improved manufacturing technology and\u00a0 results of field tests of screw downhole motors with light weight rotors are provided.<\/p>\n
