The article presents current achievements in manufacturing of more competitive roller cutter and diamond bits by OJSC “Volgaburmash”. To fulfill orders from domestic and international drilling contractors since April 2008, the company has developed and manufactured more than 80 new standard size drill bits for various modes of drilling into formations of the 12 types – from soft to hard. In Severo-Labytyugansk field, the drill bit 295,3 FD 257 SM-A47M allowed to drill a 16438 m hole at 75,6 m/h.
