The article provides an understanding of the strategic importance of hydrocarbon exploration by LLD “Gazflot” offshore Russian Far East. There is information about the company’s achievements since its creation in 1994; preparation for drilling of well #2 of Kirinsk field in the Sea of Okhotsk; prospects for development and replacement of reserves in the Russian Federation.
