The paper provides the results of investigation into the efficiency of colmatation processes and colmatation layer tests. The experiments involved the use of synthetic core samples simulating cavernous carbonate rocks. The test stand allows to build models of penetration rate and various circulation modes, as well as to use drilling mud containing different quantities of solid components.
