Key words: reinforced concrete elements, steel and concrete structure, climate tests, load carrying capacity.
Offshore oil and gas field construction in different climate conditions is based on the effective use of fixed hydrotechnical structures of various designs. The author provides a rationale for the use of steel and concrete structures with outside reinforcement and considers possible concrete failures due to climate effects, corrosion and deformation of contact surfaces.
