Transportation of gas from the Bovanenkovskoye field to the unified gas supply system requires a solution that would be optimal from the point of view of both investments and gas transportation safety, the technical condition of the existing gas transportation systems should also be taken into account as well as environmental and engineering studies with regard to gas pipeline construction and operation, etc. Development of comprehensive gas pipeline fire protection solutions during the detailed design process based on computer simulation of incidents, design concepts and calculations will allow to mitigate the risk of fire accidents, reduce direct and consequential losses due to possible fires, including damage to buildings and structures of a gas transportation system.
