ОThe article provides design details of the gerotor – the main component of a positive displacement motor – and describes accuracy requirements for production and quality control of rotor and stator geometry. Methods to measure the diameter of the addendum circle by means of cylindrical gauges, caliper gauges, automatic machine UKRS-02.01, and weak points of these methods are described. A laser machine, PIKA-DN1, is used to control straightness of the stator channel, and the end face and axial pitch of rotor and stator teeth are controlled by a coordinate measuring machine. Teeth profile in small size stators is controlled by the coordinate measuring machine, using copies made of Wood’s allow.
