Key words: gas hydrate, clathrates, water and gas molecules.
СClathrate compounds of water and gas molecules known as gas hydrates attract the most interest among all known unconventional gas sources. By the most recent estimates, global reserves of methane hydrates are incomparably greater than conventional natural gas resources. In 1970, production commenced from the Messoyakhskoye field, where gas hydrate accumulations were discovered. Creation of effective methods of gas hydrate production is one of the most urgent problems. The paper is focused on the gas hydrate production based on thermal cycling as a production optimization method used in the Messoyakhskoye field. The calculations were performed using the MATLAB system.
