The authors recommend to construct a pressure – well length chart for directional and horizontal wells, which will allow a more detailed analysis of wellbore properties as compared to a pressure-vertical well depth chart. It is recommended that equivalent circulating density be taken into account to show on the chart both hydrostatic pressure and hydrodynamic loss, which is especially important for extended reach wells.
