The article is focused on drilling and cementing problems. Measures to prevent possible cross flows and string pressure whilst cementing casing strings include installation of solid high expansion gas-water-proof cement stone, which creates stress contact with all formations surrounding the wellbore and casing strings. New materials have been developed to design cement slurries and displacement fluids to avoid cementing problems.
