The paper provides details of basic operating conditions of mud motors whilst drilling. Issues under study include micro-delays of motor shaft rotation which occur when axial load rapidly increases, resulting from incorrect handling of mud motors. The authors analyze the mechanism of generation of forces acting on the motor in different operating conditions and identify factors which contribute to forces which loosen threaded joints of a mud motor whilst drilling.
The presented information is of practical relevance because the recommended principles of mud motor operation will help prevent many drilling accidents.

One of the issues that are relevant to the final stage of gas and condensate field development is the accumulation of fluid in wellbores, which is not carried up to the surface due to a low speed of the ascending gas stream. The paper focuses on the use of foam agents including gas forming agents which form finely dispersed high-expansion foam allowing to effectively remove reservoir fluid and rehabilitate wells which were shut in due to liquid accumulation.
