Key words: torsional vibrations, «Stick-Slip» phenomenon, PDC bits, vibrations, bit wear, reverse bit rotation.
Oilwell drilling is often affected by self-excited «stick-slip» vibrations, which can highly accelerate the wear of the PDC bits. The aim of the paper is to analyze the methodologies which allow to prevent the occurrence of these vibrations. This paper presents the new method which provides identical speed rotation of a bit.
