THE EXPERIENCE OF LIQUIDATION OF THE EMERGENCY WELL ON THE UNDERGROUND GAS STORAGE FACILITY (UGS) BY THE METHOD OF DIRECT COUPLING OF WELLS AT A GIVEN DEPTH

Underground gas storages (UGS) are a complex of engineering and technical facilities containing a significant stock of wells. At the same time, breach of the integrity of the UGS on one of the wells sometimes calls into question the possibility of operating the entire system. Most gas leaks are eliminated by repairing or reconstructing the appropriate well from a drilling rig installed at its wellhead. However, if the wellhead is not accessible or there is an unrecoverable tool in its wellbore, leaks must be eliminated in another way. The most effective way is to conduct at a given depth of direct docking a special borehole with an emergency well. Spatial position of the emergency wellbore is determined by electromagnetic guidance using APS (wells search equipment). The article describes the technical means and operations for eliminating leaks in the «tire» of the Kiryushkin UGS. The carried out works allowed liquidating gas losses and decommissioning of UGS with a large well stock.
