Key words: mathematic simulation, drilling mud, free energy, mud conditioning.
The article reviews various approaches to mathematic simulation of process properties of drilling muds, specifies their shortcomings. It offers a method for simulation of process properties of washing fluids based on representation of thermodynamic quantity of work and energy balance equations. This approach allows to optimize process properties of flushing fluids and chemical conditioning of fluids.
