Widely used clay-free biopolymer systems of drilling fluids, along with the advantages have a number of disadvantages that limit their use. An alternative to the biopolymer structure former may be a composition based on a polymer-mineral complex of highly dispersed solid particles and specially selected synthetic macromolecules. The data confirming the provision of the polymer-dispersed structure of the pseudoplastic nature of the flow of a drilling fluid similar to the biopolymer system are given.
