Key words:casing string; trough wear; forecasting; experimental determination of the nature and magnitude of pipe wear.
The article shows the possibilities of predicting the wear of casing strings by a drilling tool based on the work of Russian and foreign scientists. A formula is proposed for determining the value of the radial wear of casing strings depending on the pressing load, the amount of work in the column, the intensity of the spatial curvature of the wellbore and other factors.
