Key words: development of the continental shelf of the Russian Federation, West Yamal shelf, Kara Sea, Leningradskoye gas condensate field, offshore operations, site structures and facilities, marine oil and gas engineering structures, ice conditions, underwater sub-ice operations.
The article deals with the problem of choosing the type of field facilities for the Leningrad gas and condensate field, taking into account the analysis of hydrometeorological, geographic and geological conditions. The main attention in the work is paid to the definition of criteria allowing to substantiate and select the main variant of the type of field facilities for the Leningrad gas and condensate field.
