Key words: complications of the well cementing process, expanding cement slurries, aerated cement slurry, casing string cementing technology, cement slurries, well casing, dry mixes for cementing oil and gas wells, cross-flow between layers, intercasing pressure, behind-the-casing flow.
Known and new cement powder mixtures used in primary cementing of wells are considered. Well-known cement slurries do not provide the necessary tightness of annular and intercolumn spaces and reliable separation of formations, which leads to various complications, to early watering of oil and gas wells, and to environmental problems. The use of new powdery erosive buffer expanding cement slurries and technologies for their application will eliminate the occurrence of complications of the primary cementing of wells in different mining and geological conditions.
