The article deals with the problems of extracting low-pressure gas from the transition layer of the Cenomanian gas pool. The presence of occluded gas reserves in the transition layers of gas pools was determined in the year 80 of the last century. It was assumed that as the reserves of the main pool were depleted, the gas saturation in the transition layer would decrease to minimum values due to the pressure drawdown and piston displacement between the layers. However, the practice of developing the main deposit shows that this effect was not achieved. Methods for the wellbore zone treatment, ensuring maximum flow rates of wells, drilled in the transition layers of Cenomanian gas pools have been proposed as a result of the conducted scientific research.
