Key words: Achim deposit, subhorizontal well, Multiple-stage well intervention, “Technical limit”.
One of the most relevant engineering tasks in the Fuel & Energy Complex is the construction of geologically and technologically complex wells. The complexity of near-horizontal wells’ construction at the Achimov formation is related to the great depth of productive strata, abnormally high formation pressure and temperatures, while the Achimov deposits often have significant differences in pressure and permeability, which calls for using the drilling mud density in a rather narrow "corridor".
The article describes new technologies for the development of Hard-to-recover reserves at the Achimov formation in Western Siberia on the example of the work done by ERIELL NEFTEGAZSERVICE LLC at the Urengoyskoye field. Proven technological solutions for drilling near-horizontal wells and completing wells using the multi-stage hydraulic fracturing in conditions of abnormally high formation pressure are presented.
