Key words: microdur, mineral-based binding material, grain size distribution.
ИThe article describes general principles of production of the mineral-based fine powder «Microdur» and its applications in underground excavation and geotechnical engineering. As compared to other types of microcement, it has special mineral composition and grain size distribution. The maximum grain diameter is 6 μm («X» type), 9,5 μm («U» type), 16 μm («F» type). Microdur-based aqueous slurries with water/binder ratio of 2.0 до 6.0 are characterized by high sedimentation resistance, enhanced capability to penetrate into porous and fractured materials thus improving their strength and density. Therefore, Microdur may be successfully used for both well drilling and workover.
