РThe authors analyze hazards affecting the operation of offshore drilling platforms. For the purpose of risk assessment, it is suggested that offshore operations be divided into two categories, namely, transportation of the platform or its elements to the drilling location, supply vessels and tanker ship’s operations, etc., and drilling operations. Event trees have been created to analyze the risks of operation of drilling platforms.
