The paper focuses on a new high performance corrosion inhibitor, IK-130, based on a metal complex and surfactant. A low concentration (0,4%) of the corrosion inhibitor enables to reduce corrosion rate to 0,03 mm/year in a saltwater mud and to 0,1 mm/year in freshwater mud. It was established that the excellent corrosion resistance of IK-130 is achieved through the synergy effect produced by its components.
