Key words: drilling, diamond crown, asymmetry, notrepeated mark.
The work sums up features of the hard rock drilling processes by the means of diamond-bearing rock constituent tool which take place in the contact zone of the tool with the hard rock. The drilling process is viewed as the system of cutting and abrasion processes. The new construction of a diamond crown is suggested which allows advancing of drilling efficiency.
