The availability of the appropriate offshore oil and gas field engineering constructions (OOGEC) is one of the key factors for the development of the arctic continental shelf of Russian Federation. The article considers the requirements for OOGEC in accordance with arctic operation conditions, as well as the basic types of the existing OOGEC, which are the most suitable for such requirements.
