Key words: carbonate deposits, core, oil, reservoir, hydrocarbons, well, porosity, permeability, filtration-capacitance properties.
The paper presents the results of an analysis of the filtration-capacity properties of the carbonate deposits of the Famennian Stage in the southwest of the Khorever depression. There is a tendency for the porosity to decrease up the cut. In the same direction, the content of cracks in the system of hollow space increases. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of laboratory core materials, geophysical data and the results of hydrodynamic studies of wells, the prospects for productivity of the upper part of the Famennian Stage are proved, which is not included in the composition of the deposits at present. This is largely due to the complexity of developing fractured deposits. Involvement in the development of oil-rich reservoirs of this type should be considered as a significant reserve to maintain oil production of old fields.
