Key words: Artificial island structures, cost-effective distance, soil pits.
Earth pit distance from the construction site (delivering soil from remote open pits is considered inexpedient if the cost of its transportation exceeds the cost of construction of the island) is one of key criteria for estimating the cost of artificial island structures. Therefore, defining a cost-effective distance from the construction site of artificial island structures in the Ob Bay to the soil pit is of high priority for developing fields in the Ob Bay.
