An article considers problems of an absence of a unified methodology for preparing well drilling time data, overviews some shortcomings in the actual instruction for preparing time data and offers to design industrial standard with the description of a new methodology. There are two purposes for that design: the rationalization of preparing well drill business planning process and the rationalization of preparing justification for new technologies in the drilling industry.
