Key words: offshore drilling rig, hazardous production facility, continental shelf, industrial security, technical audit, monitoring sensors of concentration limits for flame propagation, flammable limits sensors, drilling control and monitoring system.
One of the most significant and widespread remarks during technical audit at all offshore foreign-made drilling rigs engaged in drilling operations on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation is the absence of monitoring sensors, sampling devices, and indicators of explosive concentration of CH4 and H2S in the monitoring system, as well as the incompatibility of their installation sites with the requirements of the Federal rules and regulations in the field of industrial safety. The article presents real examples of completing systems for monitoring drilling processes of offshore drilling rigs in order to prepare for work on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation and successfully pass a licensing check.
