Key words
: pore pressure, overpressure formation, Eaton’s method, Bowers method, Miller’s method, Tau’s model, calibration of pore pressure, selection method for prediction pore pressure.

As known the pore pressure is one of the most important data for building the geomechanical model and the geological analysis. Unable to get the accurate prediction of geomechanical model if can’t input the valid data of pore pressure. But in fact of drilling well the pore pressure is unable to get directly by measurement due to limit of technology and high cost. In this article focuses on the research and choice method for proper computation the pore pressure. Review the methods for prediction of the pore pressure. Base on that to select the suitable method for prediction pore pressure in shale of Block 09-1 JV Vietsovpetro on shelf of VietNam.
