Key words
: gas, liquefaction, liquefaction natural gas (LNG), drilling of wells, completion of wells, subsea gas pipeline.

The article is devoted to consider the Murmansk gas field not only as a source of gas for the Kola Peninsula, but also as a testing ground for enhancing technologies for the development of hard-to-reach gas reserves of the Russian Arctic. It is proposed to apply the technology of underwater gas liquefaction by oncoming heat exchange with liquefied air delivered by gas carrier from LNG plant. Liquefied air will be produced at the LNG plant by using cold energy of LNG with the double heat exchange method. This approach allows further development of gas fields located in areas with severe ice conditions.
