Key words: organizational and methodological approaches; gas condensate fields; offshore drilling rigs; exploratory drilling efficiency; West Arctic shelf.
The article discusses the organizational and methodological approaches to maintain the effectiveness of geological exploration work achieved in recent years due to prospecting and appraisal drilling within the gas objects of the Western Arctic shelf of the Kara Sea. The article considers methodological solutions to ensure the efficiency of exploration in the Kara and Barents Seas, which makes it possible to ensure annual increments in gas reserves corresponding to gas production, while optimizing the costs of exploration drilling. As a result, gas production clusters of gas condensate fields (GCF) in both seas will be created, which will ensure reliable long-term gas production in the Western Arctic region of Russia.
