Analysis of the process of development and validation of a detailed oil and gas well design shows that problems which may arise are mainly due to a poor and incomplete environmental feasibility study required to obtain a license to develop mineral resources, investment projects, and environmental impact assessment. Another issue that becomes apparent during the process is the lack of research and methods which would meet current requirements.
