Key words: oil well, drilling fluid, hydrogen sulfide, reagents-converters, corrosion, bactericide.
Contained in downhole production hydrogen sulphide gas and its compounds cause serious damage not only to field equipment, thereby violating the technological processes, but also irreparable damage to the health of staff. In this regard the problem of neutralization of H2S in drilling fluids at conducting hydrogen sulfide wells does not lose its urgency. In order to reduce the negative impact of acid gases during drilling in many countries are used Reagents-converters, which are entered directly into the drilling fluid. Strict requirements are made upon reagents converters regarding operating temperature, neutralized the pH range, activity effects on H2S, as well as those formed during the neutralization of acid gases. Special preference of mining companies is given to reagents which in addition to neutralizing properties also have a bactericidal and anti-corrosion effect. Despite the considerable amount of research in this area, the problem of the intensification of the binding process H2S in drilling fluids (especially in water-based solutions) remains urgent.
