Key words: virtual simulation model, drilling, well design.
The paper considers the complex virtual simulation (mathematical) model of the well drilling process. The proposed approach includes joint modeling of drilling fluid flow, drill string dynamics, rock crushing, as well as heat and mass transfer processes associated with drilling mud flow. An example of using the developed approach to well drilling modelling is given. This methodology can be applied to the design of wells, analysis of technical solutions, exercise of actions in emergency situations, etc.
