The article provides a statistical analysis of the monthly production of liquefied natural gas at the production complex of the «Sakhalin 2 – Prigorodnoye» project and the average monthly external temperature obtained from the Korsakov meteorological station over 8 years. Based on the initial statistical data, estimates of the mathematical expectation, variance, standard deviation of production volume and external air temperature for each month of the 8-year period were obtained. These estimates were also received during statistical material processing for each year of the 8-year period. To assess the linear statistical relationship between the production volume and the average monthly external temperature, estimates of the correlation coefficients were obtained. The analysis of the results allowed to conclude that there was a linear statistical relationship between the productivity of the plant for the production of liquefied natural gas and the average monthly external temperature for each year.
