CONTROL OF DRILLING PROCESS INVOLVING THE USE OF DOWNHOLE DRILLING MOTORS.

In the process of well drilling using cutting type drill bits there occur zones of unstable DDM operation, intervals of overload and underload. Optimization of DDM operation is one of the ways to improve drilling performance. The article provides key performance data of downhole motors of different types: hydrodynamic (turbodrill) and hydrostatic (screw downhole motor).
Results of the conducted researches allowed to develop requirements for the screw downhole motor control processes that will help to increase service life of the motors and improve drilling performance.
